Ask FlixKeep, fixed for real.

Ask FlixKeep got three real fixes: fallback answers stop repeating, every result shows where to stream it, and it now has its own place in the nav. SmartLane's pinned explainer cards were rebuilt to actually explain themselves, Tonight's reasoning got its own label, and the trailer expands to a proper lightbox.

FlixKeep · The reliability release

Built to actually work.

01 · Ask FlixKeep

Answers that hold up, every time.

Three real bugs, all reported live and fixed: Ask FlixKeep now varies its fallback answers, always shows where to watch, and has its own place in the nav.

01

No more repeating itself. When the AI curation path has a bad moment, the fallback used to return the exact same 3 movies to every single user for up to 6 hours. It now samples from a wider pool per request instead.

02

Every result shows where to watch. The streaming-provider row was silently missing from every Ask FlixKeep result. It now looks up your configured services the same way Tonight and SmartLane already do.

03

Its own place in the nav. Ask FlixKeep is now directly reachable from the nav, and Shape FlixKeep — the point-and-mark feedback tool — got its own dedicated nav item instead of sharing a button.

02 · SmartLane

The pinned cards, rebuilt to explain.

The Flixkeep Picks and Save a Movie cards at the start of each lane were rewritten to actually explain what they do, instead of gesturing at it.

01

Explained in a glance. A dense paragraph became short, icon-led bullet points — and "See your DNA" now shows your resolved archetype name right next to the link.

02

Two full rows, every time. Your Picks now matches Flixkeep Picks' 2-row height on desktop, so the card never gets clipped — any unfilled grid slots show as quiet placeholder tiles instead of leaving the row ragged.

03

Loads in without the jump. The loading skeleton now matches the real 2-row layout, and the flow animation measures its own container instead of assuming a fixed viewport width.

03 · Tonight

The reasoning, given its own line.

A batch of editorial polish on the home page, all from live iteration.

01

"Why Tonight," spelled out. A dedicated label now sits above the pick-reason text on every card, instead of the reasoning running straight into the copy.

02

Cards that read as cards. Supporting cards got a darker background so they read as distinct from the featured pick, and lost a save toggle that couldn't honestly be built — there was never an unsave path behind it.

03

You can see where you are. A thin gold underline now marks the active tab in the top nav, on both mobile and desktop.

04 · Movie detail

The trailer, properly expanded.

Reported live: the trailer played cramped inside the poster panel, and Escape closed the whole modal instead of just the trailer.

01

One tap, full screen. Watch Trailer now always opens a proper lightbox above the movie detail, instead of playing inline in a small panel.

02

Escape steps back, not out. Escape now closes just the trailer first, and the full detail view second — one level at a time, not both at once.

05 · Under the hood

Housekeeping.

01

A build-breaking import alias, fixed. A pre-existing `@/` path alias issue that could break the frontend build was resolved.

02

Small copy fixes, shipped fast. Sentence-case corrected on the Ask FlixKeep trigger, stray italics removed from the Tonight header row — reported live, fixed same day.
